Project Data

Describir si existen diferencias en el sistema bioacústico de peces marinos filogenéticamente cercanos que habitan en aguas turbias o claras. Observar si existen diferencias en la morfometría del sistema bioacústico (otolitos, vejiga natatoria y dentición faríngea) de peces roncos (Familia Haemulidae) que habitan exclusivamente en aguas turbias o claras del Pacífico colombiano. Reconocer, extraer, medir y comparar los tres tipos de otolitos. Obtener elementos físicos y digitales que permitan el fortalecimiento de colecciones en otolitos y otras estructuras bioacústicas.

Sampling Methods

En isla Gorgona los peces fueron capturados por medio de arpón hawaiano y SCUBA, en Buenaventura los peces fueron comprados en el mercado local

Method step description:

  1. Por medio de tres buceos diarios se identificaban los peces y estos eran capturados manual e individualmente por medio de arpón hawaiano.
