Colección de Artropodos del Museo de Historia Natural Marina de Colombia - Makuriwa

Desde 1965 hasta la fecha (marzo de 2012), la colección de crustáceos del Museo de Historia Natural Marina de Colombia (MHNMC) se encuentra constituida por un estimado de 52331 ejemplares que corresponden a 8738 lotes catalogados, convirtiéndose en la colección más importante de crustáceos marinos del país. Los ejemplares preservados son el resultado de múltiples proyectos desarrollados por el INVEMAR, en los cuales se ha recolectado material manualmente y por medio de diferentes técnicas de recolección dentro de las cuales se destacan las dragas y las redes de arrastre demersal. Este conjunto de datos representa 6068 registros biológicos de ejemplares catalogados en la colección.
